I want to change my last name, but I have signed business contracts in the past using the surname that I was born with. The contracts transfered the ownership of intellectual property to me. How will my name change affect those contracts? Will the contracts be made void?

Let me just clarify that I do NOT want my name change to cause my contracts to be made void. I know that names cannot be changed to get out of paying debts or anything like that. I just want to be able to tell people my name without having to correct their pronunciation or tell them how to spell it, and I don't want to lose the ownership of some intellectual property that I purchased.

A horse of a different color is still a horse. No matter what your name might be, you're still you. Nothing changes about the contracts or their enforceability.
