Hello everyone, I came up with an idea that I would like to sell to a company, and I was wondering how I would propose the idea without risk of it being stolen by the company. I am very "uneducated" as far as these things go, so please help me. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure you can copyright an idea. Whenever I'm nervous about someone stealing my artwork I put copies of it into and envelope and send it to myself via registered mail. Then I leave it sealed and file it away. It has the date and a government stamp (US Postal Service) on it. As well it's now in the records of the post service (because it's been registered).
It might work. If you make note regarding your idea and you do the above, then go to your meeting and they rip you off, you have proof of the date you wrote your idea down BEFORE they ripped it off. Make sense?
