Are cars copyrights? Are you allowed to make graphic art design of cars and sell the art on t shirts? No logos or anything like that, just a picture that YOU made of a car that looks like a honda, toyota, Porsche**************..

Any help at all would be appreciated very much, thanks. I suppose it is possible to copyright the design of a car, but in practice, it would be unlikely and har dto enforce -- copyright has pretty strict limitations on the copyright of "functional" aspects of a creation, and since most every part of a car is "functional" in some way, its unlikely that copyright would be able to protect the parts. Only purely "creative" parts of a car, like maybe a hood ornament, would realistically be able to be protected by copyright.
However, the design of a car, or parts of the design of a car, may well be trademarked.
But in reality, if you are just making graphic art prints, and do not have the logos on the prints, and do not sell the prints as a VW shirt or Porsche shirt or whatever, then there really isn't any problem. It's when you include logos and the like that trouble begins...

What about a shirt thay says "400 hp" and there is a picture (that i made) of a 400hp ferrari?
