Copyright Question About Ebay Sales

Discussion:
What is the name of your state? Florida
I have an idea to sell some particular items on Ebay and i want to know if it is illegal to do so, so that i may avoid any trouble down the road.
If you own a book and want to sell it on Ebay or Amazon, you can... thats legal. So, is it also legal to sell copyrighted materials that are available for free, such as a an E-book or .pdf files that you or anyone can download from a particular website?
What my purposed customers would essentially be paying for is the time and effort it required to: search for, find, organize and deliver [via postal mail (CD) and/or e-mail] the items to them.
Thank you for any replies

Irrelevant. You could legally provide them with links to the materials, but you cannot host the materials yourself or download and reproduce them yourself without permission from the copyright holder.
Answer:
Could I simply provide the link on the cd and sell it?
Answer:
Could I simply provide the link on the cd and sell it? I don't see why not, as long as the links are to legal copies of the materials -- that is, links to places that DO have permission to host the material and allow downloading.
I guess the more difficult part would be trying to figure out how to get someone to pay for such a CD...
Answer:
thanks for the info
