Question on Internet Intellectual Property
Discussion: What is the name of your state? Arkansas I am in the process of designing a site and script that will be 100% unique as of now in the concept, revenue base, etc. Is there a way to protect this and only allow copies of the site by licensing? I don't want a bunch of copy cat sites popping up everywhere that will take away my revenue after I have done all of the work in coming up with this concept and paying for a programmer to design a script to make it work and come into existance. I have not launched it yet, just for this reason. Any advice will be appreciated. Scott Answer: What is the name of your state? You can copyright the script, of course, and, if you are doing this for a business, eventually obtain trademark rights to the "look and feel." But there is no way to simply obtain blanket protection for an idea. Copyright © 2006 - 2008 www.todayquiz.com
