Patent / Copyright. Combining two products
Discussion: I live in Kansas, but I am trying to do business with a major national corporation. I have an idea to combine two products, and want to discuss my idea with said corporation. I contacted them through the internet, and they responded in email asking me to send my idea request through mail to them. Are there any easy ways I can send them my idea (I doubt I will be able to hold any type of meeting with them without sending it) while still maintaining my intellectual rights? Basically, I want to be able to profit from my idea, and I don't want them to simply take the idea without reimbursing me in any way. Unless you have a patent, a patent application pending, or a nondisclosure agreement signed prior to you sending them the materials, you are relying on their good faith to not screw you.
