CD/Graphic design

Discussion:
What is the name of your state?Colorado
Ok. So i own a graphic design company, and i recently designed some stuff for a client. They want to get a CD with the project on it. I have a contract that reverses the "work for hire" law where the authorship comes back to me. I have a company policy to charge $250 for the CD since they want to modify the project on their own. I never mentioned the policy to them though, and I still feel that they have to follow the policy, and I have the right to charge them the $250, right? Could use some help.
thanks!

I have a contract that reverses the "work for hire" law where the authorship comes back to me. Just FYI, if you were comissioned to do the work, you didn't need to "reverse" the work-for-hire "law" -- unless you were an actual W-2 employee of the company that comissioned the work, you get the copyright anyway.

I never mentioned the policy to them though, and I still feel that they have to follow the policy, and I have the right to charge them the $250, right? What did your contract with them actually say? That will tell you what you have the "right" to charge them.
