I make clocks that I sell online. I have a number of customers asking me if they can provide me with art designs or bedsheets they bought for their kids rooms so I can make a matching clock for the room. Is that legal? If it is, can I then advertise on my website that customers can send me such works for me to make a custom clock for them? If I were to make the clock, I would be photocoping these artworks or fabrics and might have to alter/resize them in order to fit it in the clock. This just does not sound like it is legal.

If you are using designs or figures or logos that are trademarked or copyrighted, you cannot legally reproduce them without permission from the copyright or trademark holder. Advertisding will just help them find you easier...
