Legal Credits on Album?

Discussion:
What is the name of your state?Oregon (I live in Oregon; brother lives in Washington)
My brother is a producer/engineer in Washington. I travel there once a month to record with him. Some songs I have written/composed and others, he has. I have analog rough mixed about 3 songs on a sample CD which I burn and intend to give to friends/family and general public as both a ministry and promotion. We intend to digitally master them later. My brother and I agreed that we would put one of my songs on an album that we are working on together. In addition, I am also working on a personal album. He said that for legal purposes I should indicate on the promotional CD specific kinds of information. For instance, I have indicated the following thus far:
-copywrite and publishing date w/ the appropriate symbols (©p date CD; © date on jewel case insert).
-composer/writer of each song
-credits for vocals and instruments.
He says I also should indicate credit for arrangement as well as POC © (point of creation), and DEG ©. Also can the same song in different mixes (or even the same mix?) be used on two different albums; his, and mine (different mix each album)? Can you think of anything else that I should indicate on the promotional CD (the one w/ only 3-4 songs) to legally protect both him and I?

Just FYI, none of that stuff is required for you to be legally protected -- copyright law will protect you atuomatically, and the requirements for "notice" -- the copyright symbol and date -- were abolished in the U.S. (and the rest of the world) sometime ago. It's still a good idea to mark your works witht he copyright symbol, but it is not required. If you want more protection, register your copyright, .
