Have I committed Copyright Infringement?
Discussion: What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NJ Good Morning all. I sell home movies among other things on the Ebay auction site. These home movies were taken at various Disney parks and basically showcase their rides and attractions. I found that they were popular with many people which is how I began selling them. These home movies were taken with permission of the Disney Castmemembers who run the rides. You know the drill: Some rides allow videotaping and flash photography and some do not. I only film what I am allowed to film. I have recently been contacted by a Disney attorney demanding that I cease all such sales and provide information as to how much I have sold, what other business partners I have sold to, what other venues I have sold in, and that I pay such damages as Disney may decide upon. I have no wish to break the law and have since ceased my auctions in good faith until this situation is resolved. My questions are: Have I committed copyright infringement even though I took the movies myself with permission from the Disney Castmembers? And am I liable for monetary damages that Disney may seek? Thanks in advance. Answer: What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NJ Good Morning all. For your information, castmembers are not management and had no idea you were going to sell the movies and profit from Disney. Answer: Thanks for the reply. Since I was legitimately unaware that this was illegal, is there any way to mitigate the circumstances to avoid paying hefty damages? Answer: Thanks for the reply. Although he deems it a Minnie mistake, he fully realizes that he is in deep Winnie the Pooh************** Answer: Wonderful. Do you know any good ones? Copyright © 2006 - 2009 www.todayquiz.com
