Discussion: What is the name of your state?Michigan A company owed me money for royalty payments on on product I invented. On the day I was supposed to pick up my check, the owner pushes a trademark assignment accross the table, holds the check up in the air and proceeds to tell me I must sign the assignment if I want the check. I needed the money very much so I reluctantly signed the trademark assignment. Is this legal and if not want can I do? I do not have a signed liscence agreement and I have become very unhappy with the way they operate and handle my product. Can I take my product to someone else or make and sell it myself? I need help. Viper Answer: Hold the agreement to the screen so we can read it. Answer: What is the name of your state?Michigan A company owed me money for royalty payments on on product I invented. Your best bet is to head down to a local attorney who has experience in intellectual property matters, and who can review all of the relevant facts and advise you accordingly.
