Important question!
Discussion: Florida I have a very important question. I registered a domain. The owner said that i did it in bad faith and i have to cancel it or transfer it to them. They told me that they may sue me. I cancelled the domain. Is it possible for them to sue me after i have cancelled the domain? Can i be sued for the past? If they can show trademark infringement, the fact that you have stopped infringing doesn't mean you didn't infringe at one time, and if it is still within the statute of limitations period, of course they could sue you. It's like speeding -- just because you slow down when you see the cop doesn't mean he can't ticket you for the speeding you were doing before you saw the cop. Of course, if you've already complied with their requests, the chances that they would sue you anyway would appear to be slim. Answer: I cancelled the domain. Is it possible for them to sue me after i have cancelled the domain? Can i be sued for the past? If they can prove you've made money off it while it was registered, yes.
