use of anothers brand on my product label and in advertising

Discussion:
What is the name of your state? California
There are many examples where a product brochure, label, or advertising refers to another trademarked product.
Example Computer company X says "intel Inside", includes Microsoft Word etc.
I saw a cake maker who called the cakes which were dipped in or cooked with brand name liquors, --she named the cakes by the liquors and used the liquor label in her package design.
Ameretto, Grand Marnier, Franjolica etc.
We want to make another food product which will contain a substanial quantity of other branded products.
So long as we discliam that the branded trademark belongs to xyz company, can we label our products similarly.
Answer:
You need to obtain a license to use their names. You might also be able to negotiate a cross-promotion and co-branding agreement if you think the companies will like your products.
