hey hows going?
I am wondering if there is some kind of laws i should be aware of if i want to start a website that I am going to post news from sites such as yahoo news, cnn, msn?
is there a copyright issue here ?
and also my friend wants me to set up a site so he can post news about his country and he wants to add some ads from some company on the site.... and i am not sure where his news sources are coming from....so is there anything i should be aware on this as well?

What do i need to do and be aware of if i want to post news on my site that are from other sources? Sign up as a subscribing member of each of the news sources you plan on using.... then they will allow you to re-publish THEIR property.
However, since YOU are not a news organization, they probably won't authorize you. And even if they did... it would likely cost you several thousand $$ per year... for each.
