Scrabble

Discussion:
OK. I'm a 14 year old guy, not kid in New York (state) . I'm into Visual Basic, a computer programming language. I'm making a program that is Scrabble. I want to know exactly what I need to do so that I will not be sued by Hasbro Interactive for violating a copyright law. I've already changed the name of the game to Scrubble...Is there anything else to prevent me from getting me/my parents sued?
Answer:
As long as it is for your own use, you can do what you want. You can't sell or give away the program though. And changing the name is not enough, if the game has the same look, feel, or play of the original, they could come after you. I have the computer version of Scrabble so it is already available as a computer game.
Answer:
I wasn't planning to market it. I originally started it so I could play Scrabble with my grandma (she treats the game like an olympic sport) in AZ, while I'm in NY. Now, it's more of a project, and a goal
