north carolina; i invented a medical device... patent pending... first action in november... second action due in april... i want to know if it would be sound to go ahead with marketing and if so would anyone refer me to a legitimate company in or near north carolina. i am also in need of a good patent attorney (fee for service) in helping me move to the next step. i need someone to work as a liaison between companies and myself.

Many devices are marketed "patent pending" and sometimes that is better than actually getting the patent.
Also, patent law is one of the few fields in which location is NOT nearly as important as ability. Many DC area lawyers do great patent work as they may have trained at or work extensively with the Patent Office.
