I recently purchased a set of DVDs through an internet auction websight. The item appears to be the product of copyright infringement...i.e. the seller copied his personal DVD collection and then sold the copies. Although I had no knowledge that I was receiving possible pirates, can I be held liable for possessing this? Also, should I report the wrong-doer?
Answer:
Nobody is going to prosecute you for having one copy of a pirated DVD. Find out who owns the copyright and report the incident to their attention.
Why you guys shop auction on the internet. If it is a good product it is not going to be placed on auction.
