Try your chances and pitch the car company with your proposal to promote their car by displaying its picture on t-shirts. You may get some bucks for the commercial. Contact the marketing department of that company and make your proposal to them. Get their confirmation in writing.
If they don’t like your idea, then ask them if they have any objection about using the picture of their car on the t-shirts. Get the confirmation from them in writing. If they ask you to pay royalty on the proceeds from the sales, then be prepared to do that.
