I have a small business. I print pictures of historic homes and buildings on small ceramic tiles and sell them to the public.
If I take a picture with my camera of a privately owned restored home, and then transfer the picture to a tile and sell it to the public, do I need to get any kind of permission from the owner of the house? There are no people shown in the pictures.
The pictures are taken from the street (public access).

Hi Bruce,
I'm here searching around for legal advice on one of my web sites. I saw your question and I'm just contacting you because I might be interested in getting some tiles for presents depending on cost. My family owns to historical homes. Actually, one of the homes was sold to the state of Delaware about 14 years ago and now serves as a conference center but it was in my family for over 100 years. The other house is in Maryland. I'm going to be creating a web site for the Delaware one shortly. The house is called Belmont Hall.
