My response: Wow, there's an over generalized question if I've ever read one! It's like asking, "If I name my new baby (name), how can I know if it's good or bad, and whether my kid will be loved in school, or beat up because of his name?" A trademark really comes down to "public recognition" and "public acceptance". The trademark may not even be descriptive of the product or service being sold! For example, if it wasn't for the advertising, would you even know that "Nike" was the trademark for footwear apparel? On the other hand, in the late 19th century, Dr. Pemberton didn't know if his new soda fountain/tonic drink would sell. But, he advertised, made outrageous deals for sellers to sell the product, gave away hundreds and hundreds of free coupons, etc. And, what was that product? It was Coca-Cola. So, your guess is as good as mine whether any particular Trademark name would be good or bad. She'll just have to try one out - - and live or die by it. That's business!
