Discussion:
What is the name of your state? Tennessee
Hello,
Browsing to maybe find some legal references and/or advice when I came across your forum. There seems to be some very knowledgable members here, so thought I would throw my hat in the ring.
I own a domain... Miss****InternetWorld. I will not place the entire name here, but I imagine most will figure it out. I have been confronted by a trademark owner of Miss****World. It appears he is prepared to start proceedings for a trademark infringement case.
His contest is not marketed on the Internet and conducted in **** clubs, but the photographs from the event are sold to **** sites on the internet. My contest will be conducted entirely on the Internet, plainly stating it is an Internet Contest, with a Final Ceremony to determine, or announce the winner, and the photos will not be sold, traded or leased to anyone. Only for my sites. I have owned the domain for a year, but am just beginning the contest and had never heard of his event before his notification. Once he notified me of his concern, I immediately placed a disclaimer on the site that we are not associated with his contest.
Just curious about the likelihood of confusion, especially since I placed the disclaimer on the site. And your opinions how this might could go or should be handled.
Thanks for your time.

**A: so where is your **** attorney?
Answer:
That is exactly what I was browsing for, when I found this forum. A Trademark attorney in my area.
Answer:
If you are looking for an attorney go to
Answer:
Thanks. I will be heading there next. Just thought I might find someone that had dealt with this type of thing and might give some insight, without having to be in total darkness, until I can get to an attorney.
