A Person copied a picture I sent to a website and using it on his ebay auctions

Discussion:
What is the name of your state? Ohio
I took a picture of an item that I just bought. I sent it to two different websites so that others could see the new product as I had the new item before a lot of people could find it in their local stores yet. A person copied my picture and placed it in over 30 of their Ebay auctions. I have contacted Ebay and asked them to remove the pictures that belonged to me and I received a reply from them 2 days later asking to list each auction seperately not just the seller. I then sent them a reply with the information they requested and 3 days later, still ebay has done nothing! In the meantime, this seller keeps listing auctions and ending auctions with my picture. Can I stop this?
Answer:
Your dealing with the wrong people. Ebay does not host the pictures shown in the auctions, sellers must have the pictures hosted elsewhere. This is done one of two ways, either by uploading the picture to servers just for the purpose of having a place to host pictures or deep linking to a site hosting the picture. What you need to do is find out who is hosting the picture and contact them. I have had some sellers deeplink to pictures of mine and played a nasty little trick on them. This is not the place to disclose what I did.

[b]Your dealing with the wrong people. Not true. Using other people's auction content is against eBay's terms of service and can get the seller booted if they habitually do it and get reported.
Answer:
Mike, the OP is not using the pictures on Ebay. That is why Ebay isn't going to do anything. I have had problems like this and Ebay claims that because the pictures are not hosted on their servers, they cannot do anything, it was between the owner of the picture, the Ebay seller and the host of the picture.
ty2me, there is a site that offers advice for dealing with scummy sellers on ebay, I will post a link when I am on my home computer.
