School Yearbooks
Discussion: What is the name of your state? New Jersey Who would own the copyright to a schools yearbook? I have seen many highschool yearbooks that have been scanned and placed on the internet. I image this would be a collective creation on the students, althought yearbooks contain mostly facts. From what I have been reading, no one owns the copyright to any facts, because they are facts. Answer: The publisher owns the copyright to the compilation know as the 'Yearbook'. Scanning a page from the book, or the entire book, is infringement. However, using a photo from the yearbook, if it is your photo, is not. Answer: Would anyone have any idea on how to find out who the publisher would be for particular yearbook? I searched for a publishing company name in the yearbook but can not find one. Answer: And did you happen to think that each yearbook produced from every shcool in this Country is produced with the help of a 'yearbook advisor' from the school staff? Answer: PF, you're a dick. Answer: watch out, your intelligence is showing. Answer: Originally posted by Pfaffing85690 watch out, your intelligence is showing. **A: and that's a fact. Copyright © 2006 - 2009 www.todayquiz.com
