Internet Content
Discussion: Ontario, Canada Good day, I have a website which advertises cars, to sell. What I want to do is, at the beginning, get maybe 40 or 50 cars from other websites, and put them on my site to have some initial ads. Since I am copying the content from other sites, I could see the problem. However, as soon as I take an ads information, I would send the car owner an email asking them if it was okay that we put their ad on our website. As well, I would not charge them initially, only if they were happy with the service we have provided them. I could see websites getting mad since we are taking their ads, even litigate over it, however, since it is the car owners information, and I would only keep the information up so long as they were happy, and said yes. So, whats the conclusion? If you're not sure, could you just point me somewhere, books, professors, law firms, any where, to get the answer. Thanks Oliver Answer: From the top of the board: US Law Only - YOU MUST INCLUDE THE NAME OF YOUR STATE You should consult an attorney in your province.
