Former workplace
Discussion: What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Florida I was asked to give a lecture on The Current Trends in Integraded PET/CT Scanners. I have some great video, and images from my former job. I was terminated from that job. Could my employer come back to me if I use these images in my presentation as part of a non-disclosure clause or copyright infringement clause. The images are of cancers and patient with no identifying names or location on the images. Answer: Could my employer come back to me if I use these images in my presentation as part of a non-disclosure clause or copyright infringement clause. Yes -- they could come after you for copyright infringement, maybe misappropriation of trade secrets (depending on how THEY used the images). However, they could also come after you for simple theft. Both theft (obviously) as well as misappropriation of trade secrets can result in criminal penalties, as well as civil liability. If you want to use the materials in your new job, you'll have to get permission from your old employer. Don't hold your breath... Copyright © 2006 - 2009 www.todayquiz.com
