Hi.
I delivered a demo tape of my original songs around Nashville TN, USA in May 1996 when on a visit from the UK. In 1997 two 'TOP' songwriters copyrighted a song, which was used by one of Americas TOP female artists. The song went onto win awards and appeared on multiple albums. I believe that part of the musical arrangement and the idea of the song was taken from mine. Even the title is more than a coincidence. Before my trip to Nashville I sent myself the indivual songs through the post with the stamp covering the seal. The postmark is still clear but the gum on the envelopes has perished and the tapes can be removed. Would this be worth perusing?

You could take your evidence down to a local attorney experienced in copyright (there should be a lot in Nashville) and see what they say. I assume you are living in the U.S. now -- if you are still in the UK, you'll still need to retain an attorney in the U.S. to pursue anything.
