Hi Everyone, Just want to let everyone especially Chrisusa know that I received my EAD today in the mail!! Im glad another step in the process is complete and there's just the GC Interview left! One more step in the process for me!! I wish everyone else the best.Chrisusa hold on man its going to work out for you! Answer: Hi howie, congrats. By the way I am new to the forum and wanted to ask u, what exactly Interview consists of. Mine is in march. Do they ask any specific Q's? And also we have to take a lot of documents with us during the interview. Do u know anything else about this interview.? Thanks. Answer: Hi Meethawks, Well the marriage-based interview consists of the I-485 applicant and spouse having a face-to-face interview with an Immigration Officer at a local USCIS Office. There are a few reasons for this interview like scrutinizing your I-485 application information, verifying its contents, and to have you and your spouse together prove the legitimacy of your marriage. There is a plethora of questions that can be asked but some of the most common are: 1 Where did you meet your spouse? 2 Whats your spouse's place of birth? 3 What is your spouse's birthday? 4 How long have you been married? 5 How long have you known each other? Oftentimes additional supporting documentation to prove the legitimacy of your marriage is required by the Officer. Such documentation MAY include but is not limited to joint bank accounts, joint lease agreements, joint car ownership of vehicle, joint health insurance, joint car insurance etc. Bear in mind that these interviews CAN be very dynamic and there is really no real cut-and-dry interview. It really depends on the attitude and personality of your Officer and the manner in which you and your spouse handle the interview in the initial stages. Question:You said that you have your interview in March...Does this mean that you have an interview notice? I got an interview notice and it goes into great detail about the location, date and time of the interview and provided a list of supporting documentation that I should bring to the interview. Im just curious to know what kind of documentation you received from USCIS. ***Please note that my response does not constitute legal advice as I am not an attorney*** Answer: Thanks HowieJ1 My card production was ordered on Jan 19 so I hope I will get it soon too. I mailed my all the forms one day later then you did and my finger print was done one day after yours and same is with EAD so I hope it wont be too long before I will have my interview, I just hope they dont send me any RFE now. Does someone think that I still can get RFEs??? Answer: Yes the same notice from USCIS. And God! Lot of documents demanded. Birth cert, marriage cert, photo identification, all docs received from uscis, EAD, all documents which can add up to prove ur ongoing relationship, passport, cert of naturalisation of spouse, etc etc. But anyways thanks for the advice. And u said, u received a notice from uscis that EAD has been ordered on Jan 17th. and received it on Jan 22 rite.. Then it gives a smile on my face, as I received the same notice on Jan 19th. So I should get my EAD this week...? Hope so... I cant say with full certainty but I believe that you guys will get your EAD cards before this week is out!!! I was completely shocked to find my card in the mailbox today!!Given the weekend and all I figured I would have gotten it by this Thursday or Friday. So with a full four days left in the work week I truly believe that you guys will have those EAD's this week! Please post to let me know when you do get them. Oh and Chrisusa, I think its highly unlikely that you will receive a RFE at this late stage in the game. From my understanding RFE's slow down the EAD process and your EAD would not have been issued with USCIS still needing additional evidence from you.So I think its safe to say that if your card production has already been ordered its just a matter of WHEN you will receive your EAD and RFE's are a thing of the past!!Congrats to you and Meethawks and lets continue to share our experiences. Answer: Thanks Howiej1 for the wishes. And Chrisusa u need not to worry as u already received the notice for EAD order and I hope that u surely get it this week. And me too. Answer: Hi today I received an e-mail from uscis that we have mailed at ur address the approval of I-765. They wrote: Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION Current Status: Approval notice sent. On January 23, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service. So Howiej1, What should I expect in the mail? will it be an EAD or Just a letter of Notification.? Answer: Hey Meethawks, Congrats. The approval notice will have your EAD card attached!!!Start taking those job applications out now!!You should have it by the weekend!!!Thats great news!!I know you will even be more relived when u actually get the card in your hand!!Its a great feeling!!!
