Transit visa for parents in paris
  Hi folks,
My parents come here by Delta air llines via Fankfurt. But as Delta has moved their hub to paris, while going back they are going via paris. Actually it is a direct filght to Mumbai but has couple of hours stopover at paris. I heard that for Indian citizen, u need to have airport transit visa even for stopover.
I heard lot of confusing statements about it. Has anybody been thr\' this. My parents have 10 year valid visa for US. Do they still need visa ? I find the information at france consulate site very ambigious.
Has anybody been thr\' this exp ?? I would appreciate the information.
Also this thing really sucks. Can we send any complaints about it ?? I am sure Delta is certainly going to miss lot of indian customers if they continue going via paris.

It is correct.
  For Indian Citizens Transit Visa is required at Paris Airport. Only following people are excluded .. H & L VIsa, US Green Card Holder, US Citizen etc. If your parents are in US then you can apply to near by French Consulate. I am in same boat only difference is that my parents are in India & will be coming next month. BUT if you carefully read instructions on website then passengers who bought ticket before some date in March are excluded. Please check it with website . www.consulfrance-bombay.org --- Shashikant

  i travel extensively in europe..there is no need for a transit visa in Paris.. the only time you need a transit visa is when you transit two different EU nations..for example Bombay Frankfurt Paris New York..this is not allowed...if you need more information contact me...hope this helps.
