Unfair conclusions.

Discussion:
Hi all,
I keep reading people say that the VO's reject visas based on whether you are confident or tensed. This is really unfair.A lot of the parents who go for their visas are older people(and specially the women)...they need not be tensed because they are lying.Even if they are telling the truth a lot of the women are going for such an interview for the first time in their lives and they get intimidated. This is the reason they are tensed.
If the VO's are so clever ,how come so many genuine people are being rejected?
They should atleast have some clear guidelines. If they feel that a certain category of people cannot be given the visa it should be clearly specified so that people falling in that category will not waste their time applying and waste money.
Unfortunately, a lot of them finally have to apply for a greencard once their children become citizens ,just to visit even though they have no intention of immigrating.
Answer:
One 100% Correct. I feel the same way. This way they are forcing parents to immigrate with green card, though all they want is visitor visa.
Answer:
Yes I agree, and it is 100% Right , My parents/inlaws visas got rejected
3 times each, they just want to visit for 2 months and that too i forced them to visit this country, Atlast they agreed to come for 2 months, and this stupid consulate guys gives 214(b) all the time, They provided all the neccessary documents including all the properties documents, tax returns , bank statements, documents of all the 3 factories we have.
I am really pissed off , So i applied for immigrant visa for my parents and my wife applied for her parents and i applied for my 4 siblings and their families and same too with my wife. For parents it takes a year max, where as sibling it takes for ever , but i dont mind waiting (they are not interested in coming here) but i am so pissed off , i have to do it.
For everybody who had all the fake documents and want to settle here illegally/Do baby sitting /And all other kinds of things for them the consulate people are giving visas without even checking the documentation(i think).
I heard now there is business going on in india, if you pay 1,25,000
they will provide all the documentation and once they get the visa then only they can pay the 1,25,000 and I heard the guy who is doing is having 100% success rate.
So pity on the Genuine people who wants to visit this country and gets rejected.

Before you blame the VOs, you need to blame the Visa Abusers of your own country. The so called "genuine visitors" who appear at the consulate at the visa interview for the 1st time, then become chronic visa abusers after getting their visa. There are plenty of examples in this forum. Unless the people's attitude changes and they honor the visa intent, you cannot expect the NIV visa process to be any friendlier infact it will only become more tougher.

Hello Dude
I am from india. yes I blame people who abuses the visa
and people like you who argues on a opinion.
BTW, No one can change the people's attitude, its the VOs that has to change and they have to change the rules, Instead of giving multiple entry visas, They have to give a single entry, Because the tourist visa is for tourism and not to come once in a year and stay as long as they want.
If the visitor wants to visit again they can go back to the consulate and get a new visa. This way ONLY the visa abuse will stop.
If any body applies for a extension the INS should reject the extension irrespective of their request. And put a blacklist on the sponserer
I am not here to argue with you or anybody, I do not blame anybody except the VO'S .
I just posted what happened with me and the blame is VO'S for not giving visa to my parents/inlaw's
they don't have any intention of living here, i was asking them to visit us for couple of months so that they can see lot of tourist places here.
Once again a request, Please lets put a stop to this conversation and not argue.
Thanks

If people cannot change their attitudes, don't expect the VOs to change their attitude either. If the B-2 visa is only given for a year expect the appointment wait times would be in YEARS instead of weeks or months. This will make the plight of genuine business / tourist visitors to be even more WORSE. This affects genuine tourism and trade. That is the reason why consulates in general give maximum validity visas so that people can use and enjoy the prevelige. But if the ABUSE trends to shoot northwards then you can expect to see the changes that you just mentioned. People should possess some degree of common sense to distingush between right and wrong. If they cannot do that, fine then they will have to be treated like animals with a stick in the hand, which is what you are proposing in essence.
If any body applies for a extension the INS should reject the extension irrespective of their request. And put a blacklist on the sponserer What if there is no sponsor? Who bears the responsibility? Once the person enters the U.S there are enough legal loop holes in the system that a person can use. If there were no loop holes there would'nt have been 12 million illegals in the U.S. Unfortunately law-breakers also have rights. This is the dark side of a democratic system.

I Sympathize with you, it is really frustating when our parents / in-laws are refused visas. But for a sec put yourself in the VOs shoes, you can then to some extent understand who are the cause of these problems.
BTW you were one of the persons giving ideas to a visa cheat on how to circumvent the laws. Look at your response in one of your thread.
