K3 Visa interview in Manila
Discussion: My wife has a K3 visa interview in the Philippines next month and I am going to fly out there to be with her for the interview. For the part where we need to prove the marriage is real - since we've been apart most of the time since we were married - she's in the phils and I'm in the US, we don't have lots of pictures together. We do have cards we've sent to each other, but as for letters and such - nothing really since our primary menas of communication is Yahoo messanger - voice with web-cam over the internet. We spend a few hours a day talking and playing around, but there's no way to make a record of it. The quality of the connection talking over the computer is so much better than the phone and of course it's free. Getting her high speed internet service has saved me a fortune in phone cards. If I explain all this, will we be OK? My wife had her interview last week, we just got the visa delivered today and i bought her plane ticket already . I cant take the smog and traffic anymore LOL . Listen, on yahoo there is a save feature on the messenger, go to prefrences and set up the logging IM's feature. At interview, they asked me for pictures, email, letters, and cards. I gave email from like when we first started talking over a year ago. But like you I started using messenger. I printed out several logs of IM's. Gave those with the emails . We gave cards from Valentines, Christmas, etc.. And I gave like 100 photos of me and her and her family. But I been here 4 times already since we got married. Oh, important, i used my cellphone a lot to log in to yahoo and we would send text msgs all day through the cellphone so i brought my cellphone bills to show the text msgs , even though they are free (included in monthly fee) each incomming and outgoing txt is listed. If your really lacking evidence, start getting it now LOL . Stop using voice , we never used it. I got her smartbro and left her my laptop when we first got married, so I know what your talking about when you got her internet service. It cost 20 dollars a month. Its saved me probably thousands. Also , i have an atm card that only charges 2 dollars to use a atm here , so i left it with her , so when she needed money i would deposit it into my account and then she would go to atm and get it , whole thing costed me 2 bucks . I saved a load of cash over western union. So anyway, i had all the statements to prove financial support. But dont worry, i didnt even see them really looking at all the evidence, i think just the fact that i was there at the interview held a lot of weight. Just bring what you have, start getting more now , you still have a few weeks right? Let me know if you need help. My wife, who was in that same group as your wife on April 3, is still waiting. Which city does your wife live in? Mine is in Cotabato, not close to Manila. Hopefully Delbros will deliver ours early next week. Answer: http://pod.delbros.com/softpod/delbr...rack/track.htm enter the case number, it starts with MNL , and see where the visa is. I'm in Angeles City , so i think it's considered metro Manila , my wife's visa was released from the embassy on April 10 and delivered on April 12. Also my wife says that some of the women she knows who were approved at the same time as us and they live far like your wife too, they are still waiting too like you guys. So dont worry , i'm sure its in route to your wife. Thanks; yes, I've been tracking our Visa delivery for a number of days now on that site and it was last listed as leaving Delbros' office early Friday morning. Has your wife attended the one-day spousal abuse class yet? Mine will do that when she returns to Manila before flying here. And speaking of flights, it appears Northwestern ticket prices have escalated so she'll book another airline. You mean the seminar at CFO where they lecture about how evil and cruel the rest of the world is and how their new foreign husbands will use and abuse them, UNLIKE the philippines where its paradise on Earth ? That class? LOL . yeah she took it already. www.continental.com they got the best flights , 817 dollars 1-way and its refundable. Just check dates with their search engine and if the price is higher for a day you want, keep rechecking the date every few hours , the prices go up and down often.
