Hi,
The original I797 (Notice of Action) is listed as one of the requirements for H1 stamping. I have the original bottom slip of I-797 and only a copy of the upper half. The form also says that the upper half should be kept by the employer and bottom half is to be given to the employee. Do I still need the entire form in original? Please guide, its urgent.

You will certainly need the original I 797, both parts. There might be a courtesy copy marked to the attorney who filed for the petition.
