Hello folks,
I have applied for my H1 and my interview date is on October 19th, 2006. I'm getting married in August 2006. My status is "single" on DS-156 right now and i will change it once i get married. My problem is the H4 for my future wife.
Please help me out on the following details:
1. Can she accompany me H4 stamping on the date of my visa interview. If so how to go about fixing an appointment for her on the same date?
2. I heard we need to attach her details on my passport. How should i do that?
Kindly help us out on this. Awaiting ur reply...

Answer:
You can modify the DS 156 to denote your present marital status. You cannot add your wife to the existing appointment. You can make a fresh appointment for the both of you on another date, and getting a spouse endorsement can be done from the regional passport office.
