Hello,
What could be potential problem(s), if any, of leaving the country while the H1 petition is pending? In fact, in my case- we are sending an application next week and I might have to go home for 10 days the week after. I am currently on F-1 visa.
Intuitively, it looks like it might not matter. Any experiences?

Hi,
I had applied for change of status from H4 to H1 and was denied and the reason for denial clearly mentioned that I was out to India for 4 weeks during the process period and the immigration officials consider that you are not interested in the change.
