If I am currently am an H1-B holder, but am reducing my number of hours to be a part-time employee, does this affect my visa status?

Answer:
The moment you will ask for the H1-B extenstion or renewal, you will have problem. The govt. of USA have brought you in the country to work and contribute to their economy. They expect you to work atleast 40 hrs a week. If you do anything lesser than that for 15 days, it will show in your records. Try looking for a full-time employment.
